FutureHealth Lausanne 2025 – An Inspiring Day in Review

The third edition of FutureHealth Lausanne brought together 230 innovators and leaders at the Swiss Tech Convention Center to explore the future of healthcare. From the opening, the emphasis was on collaboration, partnerships, and the courage to fully embrace artificial intelligence.

Lucien Engelen, CEO of Transform.Health, set a bold tone in his keynote “Rethinking Healthcare with AI, Data and Geopolitical Disruption.” His message was clear: “More healthcare is not the solution for today’s challenges – more health is.” With AI, data and new approaches, he highlighted how we can improve lives, ease the burden on systems and drive economic growth.

The day was enriched by moving and forward-looking moments. Michel Roccati shared his journey as the first person to walk again after a complete spinal cord injury – a testament to human resilience and the power of innovation. Virtuosis AI showed how our voices can serve as biomarkers, opening new possibilities in diagnostics.

In the afternoon, Dan Staner, Chief Business Officer of ALCEDIAG introduced a groundbreaking blood test that can differentiate depression from bipolar disorder, reducing diagnosis time from years to just days and stressing that mental health must remain a government priority.

Our Next Practice Flashlight, Artiria Medical then presented SmartGUIDE, a robotic guidewire innovation with the potential to transform stroke treatment worldwide.

The conference concluded with a panel featuring representatives from the Canton of Vaud and the City of Lausanne, who underlined the importance of regional ecosystems in supporting life sciences startups and SMEs.

FutureHealth Lausanne 2025 was more than a conference – it was a platform of ideas, stories and connections that will continue to inspire change in healthcare far beyond Lausanne.
